Synopsis

Flesh-eating zombies, dirty sex, and a shattered past…
What’s more dangerous—the man who broke her heart or those trying to eat it?

Fighting to survive, Eve finds herself alone in the world after the Crave—the only parallel of her former life. On the hunt for her sister, she runs into Gage—the first and only boy to have her heart and break it. It’s been four years and he isn’t a boy anymore, nor is he the same person he used to be. Against her better judgment, Eve agrees to stay with him when he divulges information on a safe haven near the small town they grew up in—but that doesn’t mean she has to like it…

Returning home elicits a myriad of emotions that both Eve and Gage thought they had buried. The past and present collide and they are forced to the face bitter deceits that ruined them in the before and threaten to destroy them now…

Eve is living in the world After. After the Crave killed most of the world, but instead of staying dead they turned into Zombie's. She's been looking for her sister since they got separated a year ago, but who she runs into instead is Gage. The boy too perfect to have ever really been hers.

Gage is coming back to the safe haven he help create when he finds Eve. The girl who held his heart even though she never knew it. Before, before the world changed she was shy and always hiding herself behind long skirts and long sleeved blouses. The day he walked into his AP class and saw her everything changed for him.

These two were young when they fell for each other, too young to know how to say anything to let the other really know. And even 4 years later when their together again they still have communication problems. As the story continues you just wanna shake them to make them tell each other everything. And when they do you're like FINALLY hallelujah!!!! Throughout the story I sometimes got annoyed with how they acted toward each other, but then I remembered that as young as they were and then when everything changed they didn't know how to let each other in. So I enjoyed seeing them learn. Not to mention the sexual tension throughout between the two was HOT.

We also got to see glimpses of Olive's life throughout the year apart from Eve and I excited to see her story considering how things ended for her.
