He spurned Gabby Ward once, crushing her young heart, and then left to travel the world for fame and glory. Now Hunter Markham has come back home to the sand and salty breeze of the North Carolina Outer Banks so he can open up Last Call, a beach bar nestled among the dunes of the Atlantic.
Gabby Ward is not happy that Hunter has returned. Bitter over his rebuff years before, she’s content to stay far away from him and his dangerously charming ways.
Gabby’s well-schemed plans to ignore Hunter go up in flames when he presents an offer to her that she simply can’t refuse, throwing them together in a common quest to each reach their goals. Working together day in and day out proves to be problematic for Gabby, who soon realizes that the feelings she had for him are still very much alive. Hunter struggles to reach through to Gabby’s cold heart, all while starting a new career away from his life as a top ranked, professional surfer.
What starts out as a mutual business arrangement soon turns into a passion that neither of them can continue to deny.
Hard choices lay ahead for both of them when Hunter is offered a once in a lifetime opportunity to return to the pro surfing tour.
Choices that could destroy what they have built or take them further than they ever had dared to hope.

4 Stars!

How far will one push to make the dreams of someone they love come true?

Gabby Loved him...Hunter was everything she wanted and at eighteen she went for it. She kissed the guy that not only was her dream guy but her best friends Brother and he kissed her back. The problem was Hunter saying it was a 'Mistake".
She spent the next five years hurt while he traveled the world doing what he loved most....Surfing.

When Hunter's twin brother returns home he takes an early retirement from his surfing career to move back home and open up a small business to be by brother's side. He doesn't regret it not in the least.

When Gabby comes back into his life this time he grabs on and doesn't retreat like he once did 5 years ago. He had spent so many nights replaying the kiss they shared in his mind and he wanted more...

"My feelings for Gabby are deep. I mean, really, really deep. Part of me wonders how it happened so fast, but part of me wonders why it took so long."

Gabby was a head strong, stubborn as hell woman on a mission. She would NOT allow Hunter another chance to humiliate her or break her heart. She MUST keep her distance she can't fall for him again. She has to protect her heart because Hunter had the ability to break her...again!

"I know he's the one. He's been the one for me most of my life. I just don't think I'm the one for him. I can't risk falling, knowing that he might not be there to catch me."

But can you really fight fate? Can you avoid a love that has been there for years? Can you honestly push someone away when they refuse to leave?

Hunter Falls....So hard and he takes Gabby right along with him.

The book at times made me want to strangle them (Mainly Gabby) but then she would go and redeem herself by standing by Hunter -No Matter What-. She trusted him fully....completely.
He knew what he wanted out of life and SHE was standing Right In Front Of Him...and for no reason would he ever LET GO!

"I love you, Gabby. I always have. I've loved you like a sister and like a friend. Most importantly and most recently, I love you as a man loves a woman. I need you to know that."
