A Prescription for Delirium - Virtual Book Tour

Urban Fantasy
Date Published: December 1, 2012

Demons, werewolves, possessed bikers, madness spreading like a virus, and a revenge that has waited for over 500 years. What more could Gabby look for in a vacation spot?

Ninety years ago, Gabriella di Luca promised to protect the family of her dying lover. She failed to keep that promise.  She was too far away to stop the devil that murdered the eldest Van Helsing son. Years later, Gabby learns the devil has resurfaced. She arrives in Hampton, TX, determined to stop the devil before it can lay a bloody hand on the remaining three brothers.

However, madness is spreading through Hampton. She suspects the devil is using this madness to test a drug which has a side effect of demonic possession.  Gabby rushes to end the source of the madness only to fall victim to it. For a woman cursed with eternal life, dying is no threat. However, Gabby must stop the devil's plot or risk losing her most precious possession: her mind.

Noree Cosper

Noree Cosper loves writing about magic in the modern world. While growing up in Texas she constantly searched for mystical elements in the mundane. She buried her nose in both fiction and books about Wicca, Religion, and Mythology. Everyday became an adventure as she joined a group of role-players, acting out her fantasies of vampires, demons, and monsters living in the world.
She embraced her nerdom wholeheartedly.

Noree grew, but never left her love for fantasy and horror. Her dreams pushed her and her hand itched to write the visions she saw. So, with her fingers on the keys, she did what her heart had been telling her to do since childhood. She wrote.

3.5 Stars

Gabby has been alive for centuries, looking for and destroying demons. Now she finds herself in Texas keeping a promise to a lover from long ago to keep his family safe. The Van Helsings are a part of the war against demons for different reasons than Gabby but now their paths are meant to cross as she tries to protect them. The problem is of the three brothers only one trusts her and of the others one comes around with proof of who she is and the last well, he's just a pain in the butt. That and their limited amount of practical knowledge about fighting demons and their penchant for fighting each other cause her mission to be more complicated than she expects. If she wants to get out of Texas alive, and with her sanity, she's gonna have to use every trick in the book to overcome evil and get these brothers fighting together instead of against each other.

Gabby is hardcore, she's had a tough life, well several lives and she's built walls to protect herself. She lives in the world without interacting with it and it's caused some of the rough edges she has.

The brothers are each interesting in their own way and at times I felt I was missing information about them and couldn't understand the story as well as I should have. There was also allot in the story or rather the back story, that was skipped over and it made keeping up and knowing what was going on hard sometimes.

The story itself is intriguing, keeping you on your toes throughout. The character interaction is funny at times and you find yourself wondering who gonna say what next to irritate each other next and you also find yourself wanting to slap them upside their head and tell them to grow up. It made feeling involved in the story easier when otherwise I wasn't sure about other aspects of what was going on.
