Sloan and Kenna. We met them first in Irelyn and Zolts books and knew there was something between them. Now we get to see their story and their journey as it unfolded from their perspectives. This does overlap quite a bit with the first two books in the series, except this time we are focused on Kenna and Sloan and their struggles.
We all know how it happened with Kenna's kidnapping and rescue now we see inside her head and what really happened to her. How did she come out of it?
Sloan. He has secrets and I was excited to unravel them throughout this one, but also seeing his emotions and what he has gone through makes you love his character all the more.
Kenna is the quiet type, but that doesn't mean she isn't strong. She'll kick you butt before you ever realized what was happening.
Sloan wants love and wants his family, but secrets have kept him separated from what he wanted for years. He's an Alpha male and when it comes to it he'll do anything to protect those he loves.
I loved seeing their story from the start and everything they went through to be together. You'll laugh and cry and want to hit them over the head sometimes, and that's what makes this a great read because you feel like you're right there with the characters going through everything with them.
