*** SPOTLIGHT REVIEW***Bear the Consequences (McMahon Clan, #1)  by Rochelle Paige

Alasdair McMahon isn't focused on finding his mate. He only has one thing on his mind - avenging his sister. Knowing the damage his dad's fated mate had done to his family, he isn't even sure he ever wants to find a mate of his own. Alasdair quickly discovers that sometimes the thing you want the least is what you need the most when his journey leads him straight to the woman fate has chosen for him.

Finley Woulffe is the beloved daughter of an alpha. Her parent's marriage set the example of what she thought life would be like when she meets her fated mate. She accepts Alasdair's mark without a second thought but soon learns of the grudge her new mate and his family have against her father. Will she have to bear the consequences of his mistake?

This is book one in the McMahon Clan series, a spin-off from the Black River Pack series. Each novella features a different couple.

Annoras triplet brothers. If ever there was a spin off series I was excited about it was seeing those three find their own HEA's. And we start with Alasdair.

He never really thought about finding his mate, but after learning about the truth of his father and his mating he didn't really think he wanted one. But once he found her he had he mated and marked within minutes of meeting her, what he wasn't expecting was her or rather who Finley's father is.

All her life she's dreamed of a romance novel worthy mating, and now she's gotten it. Only things aren't quite as good as she first expected especially after her new mate learns her father is the alpha. Shes always wanted someone who will treat her as good as her dad treated her mom and not be afraid to look him in the eyes. Can she really find it all in Alasdair?

Alasdair is the strong silent type and even though he's happy about his mating he has a hard time showing it or even realizing he needs to show it.

Finley lived the sheltered life of a princess her whole life and is just now expanding her wings and enjoying living life to the fullest. She's lived mostly in the clouds, but has an amazing sense for understanding what is going on around her.

These two have their share of growing pains, but I loved seeing it all play out as they got their HEA. And an added plus for those who loved the previous series you'll still get a few glimpses of those characters too!
