Holidays with the Belles Spotlight Author Ella James

AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT ELLA JAMES

Sloth: A Sinful Secrets Romance
by Ella James.

Dear A. –
I am writing to express my gratitude for your gift. There are no sufficient words, but please accept my sincerest thank you.

Yours,
R.

She writes me back.
I didn’t expect that.

She tells me she’s a lover of chicken pizza and video games, a hot sorority girl with the nickname Sloth. She wants to know something about me in return. She says I owe her.

This is how she saves my life. She doesn’t even know it. We’ve never even seen each other. But I need a reason. Just one reason to continue. She becomes mine.

The anonymity is good. She doesn’t need to know me, but I need her kindness. We both live our lives: a letter here, a post card there. For three years, I escape my demons. And then one day I’m pulled back in.

I’ve resigned myself to what I know is coming. Until the girl I’m spanking gives her safe word: Sloth.
And then the lie I’m living starts to unravel.

Sloth is a 500-page, 150,000-word stand alone novel with many twists, one huge secret, and a non-cliffhanger ending. It will wreck you, but you'll like it.

BTW: Part of the fun of reading this book is trying to guess the secret. I would appreciate it if you could avoid spoilers in reviews and review headlines, so others will be able to enjoy the guessing game.

Stained (YA Paranormal Romance) (Stained Series Book 1)
by Ella James

Seventeen-year-old Julia is finally living the good life. She's traded a hard cot in a Memphis orphanage for her very own room in a perfect little house, on a perfect little street, with a perfect set of parents who picked her to be their daughter.

But Julia is hiding a secret - and one fall night, she returns home from a friend's house to find that her secret has found her. Her 'forever home' is ashes. Her parents are dead. And, in the sky above the flames, a winged creature hunts her.

The Nephilim King, Samyaza, has taken everything from Cayne. After struggling in the darkness for years to piece together his shattered life, Cayne is finally ready to confront his past and avenge the loss of everything he loved. He tracks Samyaza to a Memphis warehouse, where he winds up flat on his back, in the healing hands of a beautiful, dark-haired girl he doesn't need to know.

Unbeknownst to either of them, they are already bound. Cayne's past holds the answers to Julia's future. But what will pose the greatest threat to her? The bounty placed on her head by the leaders of two Celestial realms, or giving her heart to a man who is bound, by birth, to break it?

4 Stars

Coming home to find the life she had just been getting used to has been ripped away, could have caused Julia to give up on life. But when Cayne literally falls at her feet and seems to have some of the answers she's been looking for as well as a direct link to the one responsible for killing her adoptive parents she becomes determined to learn all she can and get justice for them.

Hiding the secret she has, made it difficult for her to trust others, but when she does she does it whole heartedly. She is smart and sassy and is not one to let others run all over her.

Cayne is mysterious, with that hint of bad boy that could have any girl falling at his feet. In the beginning he might not know who to show that he cares, but you can see it more and more as the story continues.

We fall into a world where things are often confusing, but it's as Julia learns that we begin to also figure things out. Great start to a series and I'm eager to dive in to see what will happen next.
